On the 19th of December 2024, the city of Zaragoza set the stage for the official launch of the DIGISENIORBANK project by hosting its transnational kick-off meeting. The event, organised by the lead partner HORIZONTE XXII, brought together all members of the consortium, including Egestionpyme Internet S.L. from Spain, KEPDER from Turkey, and Ljudska Univerza Rogaška Slatina from Slovenia. This inaugural meeting was pivotal in establishing a solid foundation for collaboration and aligning joint efforts for the successful development of the project.
Throughout the day, the partners outlined the initial steps and timeline to achieve the core objective: empowering senior citizens with digital banking skills. It was agreed that a «Digital Banking Literacy Kit» would be developed as the main educational resource, specifically tailored to the needs of people over 65 and those with physical limitations. Furthermore, subsequent phases were planned, which include a course for trainers in Slovenia and the organisation of practical workshops in each country, thus laying the foundations for a project aimed at fostering the financial and digital inclusion of our elders.
