In Türkiye, the local digital banking workshops were planned and led by the partner organisation KEPDER, who successfully coordinated the training sessions in collaboration with local authorities in the Bursa province, specifically Nilüfer Municipality (31/05/2026) and the Osmangazi Municipality BAREM Nursing Home (14/05/2026). These training events, which enjoyed excellent community support (with over 50 participants attending the Nilüfer session alone), were designed to equip older citizens with the essential skills required to navigate the digital financial landscape confidently and safely.

The educational programme was structured progressively into four core modules:

  • Access and Navigation: An introduction to web and mobile banking, covering secure login procedures and dashboard navigation.

  • Basic Enquiries and Transactions: Hands-on practice in checking account balances, viewing transaction history, and performing secure money transfers.

  • Account and Card Management: Learning how to manage cards, set transaction limits, and take immediate action in the event of a lost or stolen card.

  • Safe Digital Banking Practices: Practical advice on cybersecurity, focusing on strong passwords, two-factor authentication (2FA), and active protection against online fraud and scams.

Each session concluded with a presentation of the official DigiSeniorBank platform and website, followed by an interactive Q&A session where seniors resolved their queries. To maximise the reach and visibility of the project, details and progress of these workshops were widely shared across social media platforms, particularly Instagram, fostering a culture of lifelong learning and cybersecurity awareness amongst the wider public.
